Clarice F. Caywood, 99, died Dec. 1, 2011 at Presbyterian Manor in Sterling. She was born Nov. 10, 1912 in Sterling, daughter of Amos and Fay Bogie Fox.
She was a lifetime resident of Sterling and Alden. She was an operator for Southwestern Bell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alden.
She married Chester C. Caywood on Nov. 24, 1930 in Newton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1999.
She is survived by son, Charles and Zoe Caywood of Rogers, Ark.; sister, Esther Mae Stephens of Falls City, Neb.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Fox and a sister, Viola Tilton.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Birzer Funeral Home in Sterling with Rev. Bob Bethell officiating. Burial will be at Alden Valley Cemetery. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
