Ernest Ayers, 67, Crystal Lake, Ill., a native of Janesville, died Sunday in Hines Veterans Hospital, following a short illness.
The son of Herman and Alice Ayers, he was born in Janesville, April 16, 1894.
Survivors are a son, Danford Ayers, Rockton. Ill.; and a daughter, Annalee Ayers, Edgerton; two grandchildren and a sister, Genevieve, South Gate, Calif.
Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Milton Cemetery.
