Death: Mar. 23, 1888

Simeon Chandler Jr. was born Feb. 3, 1805. He was the son of Simeon Chandler and Elizabeth Bigelow. He came to Algonquin at the age of 31 and bought with his father and brother, 360 acres of prairie and woodland, one-half mile southeast of the Fox River bridge. He married Almira Bradford, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Miller Bradford and great granddaughter of Robert Bradford of Haddom, CT who was the great great grandson of William Bradford, passenger on the Mayflower and the governor of Plymouth Colony. Simeon and Almira were married June 19, 1836. They had six children: Elizabeth, Henry Herbert, Albert Alonzo, Levi Lewis, Emeline Cornelia and Martha Jennett. The Chandler Family: the descendants of William and Annis Chandler who settled in Roxbury, Mass., 1637, p. 365. He passed away in 1888 at the age of 83. He is buried with his wife Almira in the Dundee Township Cemetery West in West Dundee, IL.
