Mrs. Theodore Crowe, a well known resident of this village, died at the Lutheran Deaconness hospital in Minneapolis last Sunday, as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage. The remains were brought here Sunday night and taken to the Arnoldt funeral chapel, where the services were held Wednesday afternoon by Mrs. Margaret Cushing of Mankato, a Christian Scientist. The burial was in Janesville cemetery and Wm. Schafer, Walter Hagen, Lee Cummins, Vincent Paul, Herbert Finley and Emil Blasing acted as pall bearers. They lived on a farm near Smiths Mill for many years and after the death of her husband she made her home here. Among those from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Bullis and Miss Catherine Bullis of St. Paul; Dr. and Mrs. Jeffries and son Edward of Nicollet; Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Johnston of Luverne and Mrs. Edna Peters, a niece, of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
