She was born March 20, 1910 at rural Girard, to Cornelius N. and Julia A. (Webb) Murdock.
She married Edward C. Bennefeld on June 30, 1936 in the Zion Lutheran Church at Brazilton. He survives of Girard.
She was a founding member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard, the Trinity Lutheran Guild and an active member of the Salem Social Club.
Additional survivors include one son, Gary E. Bennefeld of Plano; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Alta Barlow of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Susan Elaine Bennefeld on July 27, 1966; two brothers, Raymond Murdock on May 13, 1988, and Earl L. Murdock on Feb. 17, 2000.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard with Rev. Mark Wenzelburger officiating. Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
