Jessie Albert Brown
(June 8, 1937 - March 23, 2013)
Savannah - Jessie Albert Brown, 75, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2013 surrounded by a loving family. He retired from Clark Block Co. as a Master Carpenter. He loved life and to travel. Mr. Brown was a Staff Sergeant in the 118th Artillery Battery of the National Guard for twelve years. He was also a member of the German Volunteers, the First Volunteer Regiment of GA, the Chatham Artillery, and the Savannah Volunteers.
Albert was preceded in death by his son Randy "Buddy" Stuckey.
He is survived by his wife of 50 wonderful years, Jannelle McCullough Brown; eight children, Kathleen Stapleton (Don), Lynne Lane, Terri Brown Sheahan (Joe), Brenda Mikell (JD), Odell Ward (Shellma), Denise Brown Hatcher, Debra Berry (Tom) and Melissa Wilder (Al).
He was a loving grandfather of nineteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren. He has two surviving sisters, Virginia Sikes of Savannah and Barbara Curtis of Richmond Hill. His encouraging words of wisdom and heart-felt advice will be missed by all of us.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Lake Cemetery in Metter. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks for the excellent care and compassion of Dr. Anthony Constrini, Dr. Karen Hanna, Dr. John Rathbun, and the entire ICU staff @ St. Joseph's Hospital.
