He was married to Deborah Van Vranken.
Kim was a graduate from Westminister College, Fulton, MO, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi.
His career in Fleet Management returned him to Kansas City in 1994, most recently with LaPetite Academy.
Kim was a member of the Country Club Christian Church, Friends of the Zoo, the Confederate Air Force, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, Boy Scouts of America and the National Fleet Managers Association.
Services will be held at the Chapel of the Country Club Christian Church at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, preceded by visitation at 12 noon.
Burial will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Jefferson City at the Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Kansas City Hospice, in lieu of flowers.
