Birth and death dates are taken from his tombstone inscription found at David's Reformed church cemetery, located in Killinger, Upper Paxton Twp., Dauphin county, PA. On November 11, 1777 Johannes George was listed by the Lancaster County Orphan Court as a child of Albrecht and Catharine Deibler, in the intestacy records of his father, Captain Albright Deibler, who died in the Revolutionary War. He was awarded 28 pounds as his fair share of his father's estate. The Orphan's Court appointed Peter Hoffman as his guardain. In 1793 George's older brother, Daniel, petitioned the Courts and was granted guardianship over George's estate.
The following information was provided by a Deibler descendant:
According to evidence of Upper Paxtang Township tax records (1796-1799), which are partial and not clearly dated, George married Barbara Garman. George was assessed in this region from 1800 up until his death six years later at just 30 years of age.
George wrote a brief will on Feb. 22, 1806. His concerns were that his wife Barbara should have "the household furniture and bedding sufficient to raise the children, and she is to live on the premises as long as she remains my widow," and that "my children are to be schooled and learned in the word of the Lord." His will was proved on March 17, 1806.
