Death: 1902

Elizabeth's birth and baptismal dates are extracted from the records found at David's Reformed Church. Baptized on 17 Feb., 1827, her single sponsor was Elizabeth Schumann, of whom she took her name. Elizabeth (spelled ASSMAN in the record books) is recorded as being confirmed on May 16, 1846 at the neighboring church across the "road": Salem (Wirth's) Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Elizabeth is named as a d/o Joseph and Catharine (Baumgartner) Ossman in the book: A GENEALOGY of the LUDWIG BRETZ FAMILY (1750-1890), by E.W.S. PARTHEMORE, Harrisburg Publishing Co., Harrisburg, PA, 1890, page 11. The author also notes that she married Jeremiah Miller, and that the couple resided in Millersburg, PA. Elizabeth's name and birth date again appear as a daughter of Joseph and Catharine Ossman in the publication: A Comprehensive History of the Town of Gratz Pennsylvania, by the Gratz Historical Society, 1997, pg. 232.
In the 1860 US PA census records for Upper Paxtang Twp., Dauphin county, Elizabeth appears w/her husband Jeremiah and (4) boys. The family is listed as the "next" household after Elizabeth's brother Andrew Ossman.
