David City Tribune (David City, Nebr.), February 14, 1884, p. 3, col. 2
On Thursday monring, Feb. 12, 1884, little Eva Adams, youngest child of Rev. R.G. and Pauline M. Adams, aged twelve years, passed peacefully away.
She was taken ill on Friday evening last, and on Thursday morning said to her father as he came into the room on his return from Osceola, where he had spent the night: "Oh, Pa, I was so sick all night." Death struggled for the mastery all Monday night, and at seven o'clock Tuesday morning her spirit quietly passed through the shadows of the valley to life's unending glory. Her funeral and burial occurred to-day, it being her birthday.
