Anne was born in Steubenville, Ohio the daughter of Joseph Watson and Elizabeth Jane Porter. In 1858 She married Franklin Pritchard at the age of 19. He died when their son, Harry who was born in 1859, was around five years old. In 1865 she married John V. Vogan and they had two boys, Charles Edward and John Watson Vogan. It wasn't long before tragedy struct the young household as John died at the age of 30 leaving, Anne, with three young sons.
It was after that that she made her way and joined her brothers in Greeley, Colorado and tried to start a new life. Here she meet Samuel Roberts, an older gentleman, who was in his later 50's. In 1876 they married. Ann was 36 and Samuel was 61, and he had three grown children in Michigan.
The following year, 1877, Clarence Rufus Roberts was born. By this time Harry was pretty much on his own so there were three boys in the household. Then once again, for the third time, she became a widow. Samuel suddenly collapsed and died in 1883. The two older boys were able to work outside the home and she worked around Greeley and even became a ranch manager at one point in time. By 1906 her health was failing. Clarence took her to Oregon to be with Harry and John and their families, hoping it would benefit her health. However she passed away while there at the age of 67. She had lived 36 years in Greeley along with her brothers. Clarence brought her home and she is buried next to Samuel and not too far from her brothers and their families.
