Mildred E. Kaveney Barth, 90, of Covington, died Monday afternoon, August 8, 2011 at her daughter's home. She was a retired Sales Clerk for Federated Department Stores having worked for more than 55 years at the downtown locations of Shillito's, Lazarus and then ending her career at Macy's.

She was a member of St. Benedict Church, Covington and an original member of the Rosie Reds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. "Little Joe" Barth in 1984; grandson, Craig Sands in 2000; and parents, John and Carrie Lenzer Kaveney.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruthann Sands of Villa Hills and granddaughters, Nichole Sands of Villa Hills and Danielle Menne of Fort Thomas; great granddaughter, Renee Sands of Villa Hills; and sister, Ruth Clarkson of Hazel Park, Michigan.
