HAZELTON-Austin "Bud" Albright passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church in Kiowa. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.

Bud was born on March 29, 1920 in rural Harper county, Kansas to Charles Samuel and Hartis Zola Kaup Albright. He graduated from Hazelton High School. On January 10, 1942 he and Eva Lavern Alexander were united in marriage. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific Campaigne. Upon his return to the Hazelton area he worked as a farmer, drove a truck hauling cattle, and was a custom harvester for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva; brother, Don; granddaughter, Sarah Albright; niece, Ann Morrison.

He is survived by his two sons; Bob and wife, Jeannie and John Albright all of Hazleton; three grandchildren, Michael Albright, Chris Albright and wife, Jayme, Miranda Albright; one great grandson, Jesse Albright.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society and given to the funeral home.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
