After graduating from the Cordell, OK highschool, Mr. Lowe attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in June of 1935 with a B.S. degree in civil engineering. Three months later he went to work with the Oklahoma Highway Department. His long career took him to many towns in Oklahoma, until he joined the Seabees during World War ll. After the war he rejoined the highway department and served in Perry, Idabel and lastly in Clinton, where he became the Assistant Division Engineer in charge of transportation. After retirement he and his wife settled in Edmond, OK where he was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mr. Lowe was married to Miss Diane Calmez on October 21, 1939. In addition to his wife, of the home, he is survived by a sister, Aline Freeman, of Garland, TX; three sisters-in-law; Bettye Calmez, Pauline Singler and Coralyn Baxter; several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Virgie Lowe and Alva LaRue.
