Elouisa Rivera Luera February 28, 1925 - April 22, 2012 Visitation for Elouisa Rivera Luera will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Union Cemetery (730 Potomac Street) on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Elouisa was born on February 28, 1925 in Brawley, CA and she passed away on April 22, 2012 in Bakersfield, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Luera, Sr.; her son, John Luera; brother, Ray; and sisters, Maria and Alice. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Rodriguez and Rachel Casares; sons and daughters in law, Joe L. Luera, Jr. and wife Sally, David Luera and wife Cindy, and Amada Luera; brothers, Peter, Frankie and Julian; sisters, Rosie, Esther, Margaret; 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Elouisa lived most of her life in Bakersfield. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and family. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
