Paul Raymond "Ray" Thomson, 82, of Hamilton passed away on Feb. 18, 2010 at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Hamilton.
Ray was born on June 15, 1927, in Kansas City to Harry and Lucille Thomson. He had been a 1945 graduate from Hamilton High School. He had served our country during World War II in the Army Air Force from 1945-1947.
Ray had been a self-employed electrician, the Maytag Man, and had worked in the past as a phone company lineman in Sidney, Iowa and at Thomson Hardware in Hamilton. He was a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry Thomson, Jr.
Ray married Mary Woods in Cameron on April 8, 1978. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a step-daughter, JoAnna (Kenneth) Gwinn, Hamilton; step-son, Richard (Sharon) Stubblefield, Hamilton; two granddaughters, Lori Gwinn (and her companion, Scott Vetere), Trimble and Amy Guinn (and her companion, Tim Colwell), Saint Joseph; sister, Pat (Dick) Wilson, Raleigh, NC; step-mother, Ellen Thomson, Cameron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The body has been cremated. A memorial service was held Feb. 22 at the Hamilton Church of Christ. There was a visitation prior to the service at the church. An inurnment will be at a later date at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorials may be made to the Hamilton Church of Christ.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton.
