Christian Bove was born 16th Feb. 1798 in Ahrdorf near Blankenheim. He was the son of Johannes Josef Bove and Anna Christina Niessen. He married Anna Katharina Kutsch in a Catholic church on 11th Nov. 1821. The groomsmen were Johannes Vogelsberg and Heinrich Stein, both from Waldorf.
He immigrated June 22 1855 into New York on the ship called the Gaston with his wife and children.
Christian and Anna Katrina settled for a short time in Brighton Township, Kenosha County Wisconsin before moving to the Norwood Young America area of Minnesota in the early 1860s. They had five children.
First child: Ursula, born 28th Sept. 1822 in Waldorf. Her godparents were Johannes Kutsch and Ursula Bove. She married Jakob Wirtz who was born 6th July 1825 in Hostel near Mechernich. His parents were Peter Johannes Wirtz and Anna Katharina Hamacher. Jakob and Ursula married on 24th Feb. 1852. The groomsmen were Johannes Stollenwerk and Johannes Kutsch.
Second child: Johannes, born 25th Jan. 1825 in Waldorf. His godparents were Johannes Kutsch from Waldorf and Anna Katharina Vogelsberg from Alendorf. He married Anna Luzia Schäfer who was born 22th Feb. 1831 in Alendorf. Her parents were Johannes Schäfer and Maria Katharina Lux. Johannes and Anna Luzia married 13th Nov. 1856 in Brighton/Wisconsin.
Third child: Matthias, born 18th Jan. 1827 in Waldorf. His godparents were Matthias Kutsch and Margaretha Reifferscheid, both from Waldorf. He married Katharina Stockart who was born 13th Dec. 1829 in Waldorf. She was the daughter of Johannes Gerhard Stockart and Susanna Esser. Matthias and Katharina married 3rd March 1851 in Waldorf. The groomsmen were Peter Pick from Alendorf and Johannes Hütsch from Waldorf.
Fourth child: Michael, born 23th Aug. 1829 in Waldorf. His godparents were Michael Bove from Barweiler and Anna Gudula Bove from Kronenburg. I am not sure, but i think he married Theresia Tible.
