When William Tynan filled in his WWI draft registration, he and first wife Catherine were living in Washington, DC, and had two children under 12. He was born in Hollywood, MD, worked as a shoe clerk for Hirah Brothers @ 1026 & St., NW Washington, DC. He was tall, medium build, brown eyes/hair, & bald [5 Jun 1917].
He and Catherine would have 14 children before her death in 1936.
His second wife Margaret Susan McCarey had two daughters by a previous marriage to add to their family. When they married, he had 10 surviving children.
When he filled in his WWII draft registration, he (47) was married to his second wife Margaret S. (McCarey) Burroughs, and they lived in Mt. Rainer, Maryland. He was employed by Major Edward Kelley at Mete Police Hagrs, MD., No. 1 Precinct.
William Tynan Burroughs died after a brief illness in June 1968 in Orland, Florida.
