Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Thomas Baltzegar, 74, of 409 Beason Road, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006 at First Church of the Nazarene, 450 Woodbine Drive, Orangeburg with the Rev. John E. Powell and the Rev. Thomas G. Baltzegar officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.

Active pallbearers will be Charles "Doc" Adams, David Battle, Randy Carrigg, Danny Creel, Bobby Gray, James Gray, Julius May, and James Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of First Church of the Nazarene, Dr. Julius Babb III, Dr. Mark Krzyston, nurses and staff of ICU, PCU, and CCU of TRMC, Robb Lee RN at TRMC and employees of Ambler Industries.

Mrs. Baltzegar was born November 27, 1931 in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late George Clinton Thomas and the late Alma Lena Collins Thomas. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene; a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class; Mission Education director and was past president of the Nazarene Missions International. She was retired from Ambler Industries. She was the widow of Alonzia "Al" Baltzegar and was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Hartzog; and a brother, Charles Clinton Thomas.

Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Baltzegar, of Orangeburg and the Rev. Thomas G. (Pam) Baltzegar, of Seneca; three daughters, Joyce B. (Larry) Fogle, Nancy B. (Ron) Beach, all of Cordova, Linda B. (J. T.) Spires, of Neeses; a special nephew, Jerry Kinsey, of Windsor; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia (Lynn) Thomas Shelton, of Summerville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in is charge of arrangements.
