Buddy Franklin Buracker, 59, of Harpers Ferry, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, after a short illness.
Born on January 6, 1952, in Luray, Virginia. Buddy graduated from DuVal High School - Class of 1971 in Glendale,MD. Buddy was a member of the football team and he was a member of the Worship Center in Leola, Pennsylvania. He was a good husband and loving father. He was always there for his children. He will be surely missed, but will always live in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.
Buddy was married to his first wife Ruth Crawford on November 3,1973 in Riverdale,Md. who survives him and lives in Shawsville, Va. Buddy was preceded in death by their baby son in 1974. Buddy's mother (MaeBelle Rossen Buracker)in 1986 and his father (Ernest F. Buracker) in 1991. Buddy is also survived by his second wife Cheryl Kay Buracker; children; Christopher James Buracker; and Sarah Kay Buracker, all of Harpers Ferry; a brother, Frank Buracker, two nephews, and four nieces,
One of the phone calls from Buddy, we talked and he told me about his heart condition (pacemaker)and other things going on with him. He also said that is upper torso was so badly scared, it looked like a train tracks. We had serval good talks about his and my family members and our feelings. I thank god we had our talks.
Interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Luray, Virginia.
