Eldon "Dutch" ADAMS, 53, Evart, Mich., died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Blodgett Memorial Medical Center, Grand Rapids, Mich. He had been ill for the past two years.
Mr. Adams was born June 20, 1926 in Evart, Mich, to Orlo S. ADAMS, Sr., and Myra B. MARVIN MITCHELL. He had lived there his entire life. He was married April 3, 1970 in Evart to Carolyn BURKETT McMILLEN, who survives. He was a retired rural letter carrier and he had worked for the American Logging Tool company for which he was a manager from 1967-1975. He was a veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Evart volunteer fire department for 22 1/2 years. He was a member and past master of the Masonic lodge and a member of the VFW and the DAV.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Corey funeral home, Evart, Mich., with the Rev. Stanley HAYES officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill cemetery.
