Services for Jeremy Neely, 34, of Gilmer, will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore, with the Rev. Donnie Fenton officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mr. Neely passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, in Nacogdoches.
Jeremy was born November 27, 1977, in Fresno, California, to Keith Neely and Brenda Thorn. He was a firefighter for the Kilgore Fire Department for six years and was currently working as a safety supervisor in the oilfield. Jeremy enjoyed exercising and working out and spending time with family and friends. He especially loved Gilmer Buckeye Football. He will be missed by the loving family and many friends he leaves behind.
Jeremy is survived his wife, Cathy Neely of Gilmer; his unborn daughter, Jaelynn Kora Neely; two daughters, Kaycee Marie Hayford of California and Chloe Johnston of California; two stepsons, Coye Kennedy of Gilmer and Mikel Ligon of Gilmer; mother and stepfather, Brenda Arlene Thorn and Johnny Gross of Eufaula, Oklahoma; father and stepmother, Keith and Lillie Neely of Pittsburg; sister, Charity Carol Edminster of Eufala, Oklahoma; brother, Jayson Christopher Hill of San Francisco, California; grandparents, Carol Ann Thorn of Warner, Oklahoma, and Billy Joe Thorn of Fort Worth; as well as numerous stepsiblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beverly Jean Rees.
