On July 20, 1889 she was united in marriage to Charles Altman of Wilber. The union was blessed with nine children. A son, Lumir, died at the age of twelve. She spent all of her life in Wilber. Her husband passed away July 18, 1944.
Mrs. Altman was a loving and devoted mother, wife, and true friend, whose life has been a real blessing to the family and the community where the providence of God placed her.
Funeral services were held Friday at 2:00 o'clock from the Shimerda-Schleis Funeral Home with Rev. I.O. Zavadil officiating. Milo Chaloupka sang accompanied by Mrs. B.J. Klasek. Interment was in Bohemian National Cemetery, west of Wilber.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Mrs. Altman's grandsons, Willard Hotovec, Elmer Kral, Duane Dorman, Alvin Safranek, Roy Pomajzl, and Lyle Altman.
