Charles W. Haworth, 68 of Des Moines,
Iowa, formerly of Champaign, died at
12:01 a.m. Friday (June 30, 1972) at the
Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at the Faith United Methodist
Church, Des Moines. Burial will be in
Des Moines. Visitation will be at the
Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines.
Mr. Haworth was born April 21, 1904
in Stanton Township a son of Charles D.
and Carrie Harvey Haworth. He married
Virginia Dale in 1926 at St. Joseph,
who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. K. E. McCully, Bethesda, Md.;
a son Charles Dale in Minnesota; five
grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs.
James I. Swearingen, Chicago. His
parents and a brother preceded him in
He was a 1926 graduate of the University
of Illinois and had been employed by
Bankers Life Co. of Des Moines before
retiring in 1969. He was also a member
of Faith United Methodist, Des Moines.
