Peter was born January 1, 1871 at Gluckstal, Bessarabia, Russia. He immigrated with his first wife, Christine (Moser)and their first son, John.
They sailed from Bremen April 24, 1900 on the ship KAISER WILHELM der GROSSE and arrived in New York on May 2, 1900. Peter was 28 years old, Christine was 25 and John was 11 months old.
Peter and Christine had three more children, Christina Marie, Emil and Leonard. After Christine died in 1908 Peter married Sophia Aipperspach.
