Obituary from the NY Daily News Jan.8,2013:Lauri left this world on January 5 at the age of 56.Loving wife of Edward Sr.Beloved mother of Edward Jr.and wife Maki,Matthew,James and Lisa.Devoted grandmother of Cadence.Cherished sister of Debra Kemiage and husband Jerry.She is also survived by nieces Cortni,Melissa and Ryanne and nephews David Jr.,Johnny and Chris.Laura was born in New York City and raised in Bayside NY.Started her career as a telecommunications specialist in Danbury,CT and later at Forest Hills Hospital.She spent most of her adult life caring for others by participating in various local organizations such as the Cub Scouts,Sports Leagues as well as watching other peoples children as they pursued their careers.She was "Mom" to dozens of other "kids" near and far.Calling hours Megiel Funeral Home,64-18 Flushing Avenue,Maspeth,NY 11378,Tuesday,January 8,2013 from 7pm to 9pm & Wendsday,January 9,2013 from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm.In lieu of flowers,the Cleveland Family has requested donations be made in Lauras memory to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
