Carl Gallmeyer was married to Bertha on December 8, 1915. After 51 years of marriage, Bertha passed away in 1967. He was the father of Bernice Gallmeyer Oetting (married to Everett P. Oetting). He and Bertha lived in Massillon, Iowa for many years. They also had a son, Donald "Tiny" W. Gallmeyer.
