Craig was an engineer, hotel proprietor, magazine editor and legislator. He married first to Maria B. ___ about 1886. He was granted a patent (#514,896) relative to processes for coating metals with oxides in 1894. In 1900, he was living in Sharon Hill, Delaware Co., PA.
He was divorced from his first wife by 1910. He was in Dahlonega, Lumpkin Co., Georgia, 1910-30, where he was proprietor of the Mountain Inn built by the Consolidated Gold Mining Company. He was reported in geological publications as working in connection with gold mining near Dahlonega in 1912-1940. He served in the Georgia General Assembly from Lumpkin Co., 1917-18 & 1923-24.
In 1930, his occupation was shown as "Editor Magazine - State Highway." By that time he had married his second wife, Elizabeth (Cooper) Speer.
