OBIT John Philip Eamer, 75, reitred Rutland Railroad Employee, died about 7 o'clock this morning at the A Barton Hepburn Hospital after a heart attack. He had been a patient in the hospital for the past 10 days.
Mr Eamer has been a resident of Ogdensburg for 35 years, leaving here three years ago when he retired and going to Morristown to live. His health had gradually retired since his retirement. A native of Cornwall, Ontario, he came to Ogdensburg as a young man.His wife, the former Miss Cassie Sutherland of Cornwall, died 6 April 1929. The Eamer home in this home was at 1121 Knox Street. Mr Eamer was a member of St John's Church of this city.
Surviving besides an adopted daughter, Mrs W H Patterson of this city, is a grandson, Bernard C Arms of Birmingham, Alabama and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, which will be held from the Ramsdell-Ewart Funeral Home, are scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m. The Rev Charles E Kennedy will officiate. The body will be placed in the vault at Ogdensburg Cemetery.
