St. Regis, Quebec - Funeral services for Mitchell Michael
Martin, 87, of St. Regis, Que., was held F at St. Regis Church with Rev. Egan officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Hogansburg. Friends called at Kateri Hall in Hogansburg, until the time of the service.
Mr. Martin died Tuesday February 23, 1993 at 2:15 am. at Hotel Dieu, Cornwall, Ont. He had been ill for several years. He is survived by one sister, Marie Martin Fisher of Hogansburg; one brother, Joseph Martin of St. Regis, Que.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Louise Serra; and three brothers, David, Lawrence and Louis Martin. He was born July 10, 1905 at Sugar Bush Island, Que. the son of David and Julie McDonald Martin.
He attended schools in the Hogansburg area and in Spanish
River, Ont. He was graduate of Agriculture School. Mr. Martin was a farmer, laborer, and he was a steel worker at the Seaway. He was a member of the American Legion Andrew W. Cook Post 1479. Mr. Martin was a communicant of St Regis Church, and he loved his gardening.

his brother is Joseph Martin born July 2 1902. Joe was born and raised here in Akwesasne. He lived on a farm and was also a lumberjack
