James Louis Adkins, 77, of Byhalia, died Nov. 18, in Corinth. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 22 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch with burial in the Byhalia Cemetery.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Clara Adkins; a son, Danny Adkins of Byhalia; two daughters, Hattie Nash of Rienzi, Mary Bobbitt of Olive Branch; a brother, John Adkins of Florida; two sisters, Hazel Overstreet of Clarksdale, Ethel Moats of Helena, Ark.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Sam Adkins of Picayune
