Sep. 19, 2010 Kansas City Jackson County Missouri, USA
Kenny was the son of James and Ruth Farris. He graduated from Marceline High School in 1971, and from Truman University in 1976. He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad for the past 33 years. He had resided in Pleasant Valley, Mo since 1999. He was a member of the UTU, IOOF Lodge, and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. One of his many passions in life was his love for music. He was a very talented piano player and played keyboard in a band for many years. He wrote hauntingly melodic music that he played on his keyboard at home, that few people but Debi ever heard.
Survivors include his parents, James and Ruth Farris, Marceline; his children Christian Farris, Kansas City, Mo., and Shelby and husband, David Cavanah, Kansas City, Mo.; his sister Mindy Stella, Shelbyville, Ky; aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his companion of eleven years, Deborah Lowe Myers... as Kenny said, "the person who knew him better than anyone".
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Vera Farris and Charles and Maude Edgar.
