John Quincy "Quin" Belt Sr., 93 of Baytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 17, 2006. H
John was born in Colmesneil, Texas July 19, 1912. He was a self-employed homebuilder. He built many custom homes in the Baytown area.
John was a devout Christian. He was ordained as a deacon at Second Baptist Church of Baytown in 1957. He later became a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist where he taught Sunday School for all ages until he reached his late 80's.
John served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a sergeant with the medics. He also was a past president of the Baytown Homebuilders Association. He was an avid hunter and he loved sports of all kinds. He was well known for his peanut brittle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Novel and Mattie Belt, and his siblings.
