John C. Harlost, 69, of 41 Spring Forest Ave, Died unexpectedly later Saturday afternoon December 19, 1987 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by a son Richard, January 28, 1975. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Delsie (Dupray) Harlost, Binghamton; two sons Michael Harlost, Johnson City, and Ronald Harlost, Castle Creek; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Jane Zembek, Binghamton; two brother, Joseph Harlost, Conklin and Stephen Harlost, Syracuse; also several nieces and nephews. He was a retired employee of Endicott Johnson Shoe Corp., a Navy veteran of WW II, a member of SS. Cyril & Method Church, American Legion Post 758, EJ 30 Year Club and the first Ward Senior Citizens Center.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Sedlock Funeral Home, Inc. 161 Clinton St., Binghamton and at 9 a.m. at St. Cyril's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Burial will be in the Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held Monday. The family also requests that those wishing make memorial contributions in his name to the Broom Volunteer Emergency Squad
