Graveside services for Samuel Steven Adams, 53, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2007 at Magnolia Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Pierce will officiate the service directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 16, 2007, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Adams died Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Born in Hartsville, SC, he was a son of the late Cecil Samuel Adams and Lillian Wallace Adams Johnson. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa Edwards Adams of Hartsville, SC; daughter, Jessica I. Adams of Hartsville, SC; sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa Johnson and Frank Kinsey, Jr. of Irmo, SC, Mary Beth Johnson of Kershaw, SC; brother and sister-in-law, William Ray and Annette Johnson of McBee, SC; grandchild, Cole Ernest Sheldon of Hartsville, SC;

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Nora Adams; maternal grandparents, Magalene Griggs and Lawrence Wallace.
