Reuben F. Adams, TCI veteran, buried

Funeral services were held today for Reuben F. Adams, 73, retired TCI locomotive engineer, who died yesterday in a local hospital.

Services were held at Woodlawn Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Ellis officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Adams had been employed by TCI 41 years, working at an open hearth in the company's Ensley Department.

A native of Rome, Ga., he moved to Birmingham with his family as a child and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katie L. Adams; four sons, Joseph F. Adams, L. P. Adams, Edward R. Adams and Robert H. Adams; three brothers, Williams Adams, Birmingham, and Joseph and Walter Adams, both of Mississippi, and a sister, Mrs. R. L. Mathews, Texas.
