David T. Burrowes, 47, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 after a courageous battle against Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Burrowes.
A resident of Glenview, IL, and a West Coast transplant, David worked as an attorney for the Chicago law firm Boundas Skarzynski Walsh & Black, LLC. He was a UCLA Bruin fanatic and obtained a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School. He was an avid golfer, a great story-teller, a loving husband, a devoted father, and a generous friend.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m., at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd., Glenview. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at 11 a.m., at the Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm Street, Glenview.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University, 675 North St. Clair, Galter Patient Pavilion, 21st Floor, Chicago, IL 60611; or the Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue, P.O. Box 1473, Lombard, IL 60148 or to a charity of your choice.
