Rev. Guy Richard Talley of Lodi passed away Sunday February 5, 2006 in a Lodi hospital at the age of 93. Rev. Talley was born February 24, 1912 in Sherwood, Oklahoma to George and Elizabeth Talley. Rev. Talley built and founded the Sunshine Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God in Placerville, California; he most recently was the Chaplain for the Delta Isle R.V. Resort Chapel in Isleton before retiring in 1998. He previously pastored the Rimby St. Pentecostal Church of God in Lodi. He also worked for Lodi Unified School District Maintenance Dept. was well as Lodi Supermold. He was a member of River of Life Pentecostal Church of God in Stockton and enjoyed traveling, remolding churches and local homes. He will be best remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, mostly for his willingness to help other and his love of God.

He is survived by his loving wife Dovie Talley of Lodi; 2 sons, G. Harold Talley of Acampo; Jerry Talley and wife Cordy of Morada; 2 daughters, Beneva Hill and husband Leonard, and Rose Marie Flockhart and husband Ronald of Lodi; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, 2 step-sons, Walter Rogers of Stockton and Bill Rogers of Burlingame. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Rose Pauline Talley in 1998, 6 brothers, George, Waymond, Jeff, John and Wilmer Talley, 1 sister Xmas Barrick, granddaughter, Karen Johnson, great-grandson Jason Johnson and daughter in-law Nona Talley, step-son Michael Rogers.

A chapel service will be held Wednesday February 8, 2006, 10:00 am at the Lodi Funeral Home, followed by interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday 12:00-8:00 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home.
