Proctor Reuben Burns was the son of Proctor Mandeville Burns and Tabitha Agnes McKinney Burns.
Proctor was born in Missouri. At the time of the 1900 U.S. Census, Proctor was married to Nora and living Marian Township, Polk County, Missouri with two children by the names of Edith H Burns and Amos R Burns. Edith was 2 years old at the time and Amos was 1. Proctor was a day laborer and rented his home.
Proctor and Nora lived in Bolivar, Polk County, Missouri until 1908 and then went to Cherokee, Oklahoma. Proctor and Nora lived on a farm 6 miles from Bolivar.
At the time of the 1910 Census Proctor and Nora were living in Lincoln, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma.
At the time of the 1930 U.S. Census, Proctor and Nora were living in Spring Township, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma. One daughter, Joe, who was 15 years old is living with them. Proctor was a farmer and rented his home. Proctor was the brother of my G Grandpa, Jesse Eberly Burns.
Proctor was part Cherokee Indian. Proctors' G Grandmother was full blooded Cherokee Indian and her name may have been Anjelica or Jellica Jane Burns.
