D.W. Bryant, Sr., 78 of Ohatchee, Rt. 1, died at his home Monday at 2:35 p.m., after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m., at Weaver Church of Christ with Clyde Neal and Howard Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Ohatchee Baptist Cemetery with Gray Brown Service Mortuary in charge.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Lula Bryant; two sons, Douglas of Ohatchee and D.W. Jr. of Magnolia, Tex., two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Henderson of Ohatchee and Mrs. Sammy Simmons of Piedmont; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Harbin of Anniston and Mrs. Lonnie Martin of Anniston; three brothers, J.E. Bryant, Jacksonville, W.A. Bryant, Ohatchee, and R.F. Bryant, Ohatchee; four grand children and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alton Bryant, Clyde Bryant, Ocie Bryant, Marshall Martin, Monroe Goode and Harold Harbin.

The body will lie in state at the church for an hour before services.

Mr. Bryant had lived in Calhoun County most of his life and was a retired employee of Anniston Army Depot. He was a member of Weaver Church of Christ.
