Reverend Denzil B. Totman A gifted and talented lady whose life touched countless individuals through her anointed ministry, went to her heavenly reward on January 9, 2010.
She arrived in the home of Willard and Lemma (Day) Featherston on a cold November 2, 1914, the youngest of four sisters and one brother who preceded her in death. Fondly and forever remembered as Mother, Grandmother, Memaw (Great Grandmother) and spiritual Mother to thousands. Along with her husband William W. Totman, they founded Lighthouse Tabernacle in 1950 on the north side of Indianapolis. Her active pastoral role has continued nearly 60 years and has included a daycare, elementary school, worldwide mission programs and countless outreach ministries that have touched many lives. She was known globally as not only a minister, but a teacher, a published author, songwriter, singer and tremendously gifted speaker. She forged a path for women in the ministry and continued to set an example as a wonderful role model until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Totman, January 16, 1990.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Richard) Williams; son, David (Brenda) Totman; grandchildren, Richard Alan Williams, Michael R. Williams, Angi (David) Walker, Daniel Wayne Williams, David W. (Linda) Totman; and 16 great grandchildren.
Services entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Carmel.
