Parents were John Henry Deering and Lillie Belle Johnson. The following newspaper article was sent to me by her nephew: Robert "Bob" Edward Deering. SOLDIER, WIFE KILLED IN FIRE - SGT., MRS JESSE E. BEAN DIE IN CABIN BLAZE. Sgt. and Mrs. Jesse E. Bean, Hillsboro Heights, were fatally burned Saturday night when a small stove in the tourist cabin near Tullahoma, where they were spending the week-end, exploded and set fire to the building. Relatives of the victims reported the young couple was trapped in the burning cabin but managed to escape only after suffering serious burns. Mrs. Bean was reported to have died from the burns Sunday afternoon in the hospital at Camp Forrest, where Sgt. Bean was stationed. Sgt.
