Captain Peveril Blundell, U.S. Navy Retired, died October 9, 2003; born April 8, 1931 in Yonkers, NY, Captain Blundell is survived by his wife of 48 years, Henry Etta; dear father of Malcomb Jack (Jacque) Blundell, Peveril Timothy and Laura Blundell (Scott) Jones; grandfather of William, Owain and Edward Jones. Graduating from the Naval Academy with the class of 1953, Pev had 5 sea commands and 1 shore command during his 30 years commissioned service. Retiring from the Navy in 1983 he worked for McDonald Douglas Astronautics Co., St. Louis division for 5 years on the Tomohawk Cruise Missile system retiring in 1988 with disability. He and Hank lived in Ballwin, MO until 1998 when they moved to Peachtree City, Ga, his place of residence at the time of his death. Memorial Services will be held Friday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church, 316 Peachtree Pkwy, Peachtree City, GA, with his remains scattered in the Remembrance Garden. Those who desire may make contributions to the Building Fund at St. Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church, 316 Peachtree Pkwy, Peachtree City, GA 30269, or the Navy Relief Society, 4015 Wilson Blvd, 10th Floor, Arlington, VA 22203.
