•Tillie Aamodt, 90, dies;
last rites held at Leland
Funeral services for Tillie Aamodt, 90, who died Saturday at a Lake Mills nursing home,were held Tuesday afternoon at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Leland with the Rev. Milo E Lee officiating. Organist was Mrs. Wayne Ambroson and the soloist was Mrs. Jerry Krause. Pall beaers were Herman Farland, Conrad Carlson, Oscar Filo, Iler Anderson, Oscar Ambroson, and Christian Charlson. Interment was in the family plot at Forest Home cemetery.
suviving are three sisters, Julia Aamodt
and Marie Aamodt, Lake Mills and Anna Aamodt rural Leland. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Miss Aamodt was born Sept. 6, 1878, near Leland where she attended school. She was engaged in the millinery trade in Forest City until 1909 when she moved to the west coast.
In 1912 she and a sister, Marie opened a millinery shop in Lake Mills which they operated until 1965. Miss Aamodt broke her leg last December and later suffered a heart attack that caused her death.
She was baptized by the Rev.Christianson and confirmed in the Synod Lutheran church, West Prairie, by the Rev. G. Smedal.
Miss Aamodt was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Leland and an associate member of Salem Lutheran church, Lake Mills.
