Elizabeth was born March 9, 1831 in Ohio to Richard Flack and Rebecca Futhey. Sometime around 1838 or 1839, Richard moved his family to Adams County, Illinois. It was there Elizabeth met her first husband, Horace Thompson. They were married on September 26, 1847. To them was born 5 children Rebecca A., Eliza A., Charles E., Richard C., and Vanetta Jane. Sometime between 1862 and 1867, Horace passed away. Elizabeth married Oliver Parker on November 14, 1867. She had two children with Oliver, Electa Olive and Oliver Franklin. Sometime between 1870 and 1874, Oliver passed away. On December 20, 1874 she married James Harvey Symmonds. It was a 3rd marriage for both of them. James passed away on August 25, 1902. By this time Elizabeth was getting up in years, 71 to be exact. She moved to Loraine, Illinois and lived with her youngest son Oliver for the rest of her years. She passed away on May 7, 1915 at the age of 84. She was interred in the New Loraine cemetery where she now rests next to her son Oliver.
