Obituary Albert Henderson Memorial service for Albert C. Henderson, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Eastern Washington Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Internment will be at Rosecrantz National Cemetery in San Diego, with military honors. An additional memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Fort Lewis Chapel in Tacoma. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Henderson, who was born in Portland, died last Saturday. He served in the 35th Infantry Division of the Army during World War II and retired as a lieutenant colonel after more than 20 years in the Army. He also worked for Boeing Co. for 14 years as an accountant and retired as an auditor for the state of Washington Fuel Tax Division. He was a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a bachelor's degree in finance at the age of 75. Mr. Henderson worked for the Eastern Washington Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for eight years. He received the 1996 Senior Citizen Volunteer Award for his contributions to his community. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ingrid; twin daughters, Verona Levine of Carlsbad, Calif., and Eva Ware of Cameron Park, Calif.; and four grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Washington Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or the American Cancer Association.
