Survived by his daughter-in-law, Jody (Dwyer) Meyers; granddaughter, Kim Lyn (Meyers) Kursell and Nick Kursell; two great granddaughters, Keara and Kayla Kursell; step-daughter, Judy (Logan, Moats) Lane and children; many wonderful nieces and nephews also survive. Greta (Hill) Sinchak and Bill Lauer dedicated friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Hill) Meyers; one son, Edward T. Meyers Jr.; parents, Charles and Elizabeth (McGee) Meyers; brothers, John H. (Dorothy) Meyers and Roger (Marion) Meyers, Robert and Charles Meyers (both in infancy); two sisters, Catherine and Harriette (Haley) Meyers.
Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. U.S. Army veteran who served in W.W. II occupied Germany 65th Signal Battalion. Retired from Schiek Motor Express. Member of Dale A.C., Stone City Post V.F.W and the Teamsters Union.
Funeral Services will be held, Monday August 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
Memorials to Stone City Post V.F.W. would be appreciated.
