Golden, Ill., June 16. -- John Burns died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eliza Miller, in York Neck, Tuesday. He was born in Derry County, Ireland, almost a century ago, and came to Illinois in 1848, having lived in York Neck ever since.
He had been confined to his bed for eight months and four days, from old age. He leaves to mourn his loss, three children.
The funeral services will be held at Burton today, after which, he will be laid to rest in Burton Cemetery.
