From the "Cherry County News" Thursday, September 18, 1930:
The friends of Mr. & Mrs. Watson E. Beed will be saddened to learn of the passing of their infant son, Laddie. He died in the Lincoln General Hospital on September 10. He was born at the Beed Ranch near Crookston, Sunday at 6:30 a.m., August 3, 1930. The funeral was held at their new home 1633 N. 62nd Street in Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and internment in the Valentine Cemetery Friday.
In another article it states: Mr. & Mrs. Watson Beed of Lincoln passed through Crookston Friday on their way to the Beed Ranch, having brought their little son, Laddie, to Valentine for burial. They returned to Lincoln immediately after completing arrangements at the ranch.
