Frank was born to Anthony and Sebastiana (Bessie) Faraone Anselmo in Pueblo, Colorado, where he stayed all his life.
He met Josephine Giadone and married her in 1929. They lived at 409 Beech Street as newlyweds, renting the small house for $10 a month.
As a child, Frank and his family lived at 109 Ash street, and Frank's father worked as a steel mill laborer. His parents could not read or write, his mother didn't understand English but his father did. Frank only had an 8th grade education.
Frank eventually got a job at the 40" Mill, part of the CF&I Steel Corporation in Pueblo, a job from which he retired in 1974.
Frank and Josephine made their final family home at 707 North Glendale, and had one known son, Anthony F. Anselmo.
Frank passed away at his home.
